I can relate to the downward spiral that results from the cycle caused by self-handicapping tendencies and the resulting depressed moods. Rega...How did your presentation go, Neurocritic? :)
Regarding self-sabotage, perhaps it's only the realization that every time you achieve something, every time you prove yourself to others, basically you are committed to maintaining that new level in the eyes of others. If you get a big grant, in a couple of years people at your place will expect you to get an even bigger one (or else, what the hell is wrong with Neurocritic?). And so on... Perfectly understandable, in my opinion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21605329.post-13563732625487833852013-02-11T20:19:06.828-08:002013-02-11T20:19:06.828-08:00This is one of your more hopeful posts, because th...This is one of your more hopeful posts, because the situation cries out for surgical management. The location looks challenging to approach with a craniotomy, but it might be possible to use a freezing probe, or maybe twirl a little blade around and cut the connections with the rest of the brain. Voila alpha males and females. Clearly worth a Nobel Prize.
Roger Bigodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10006814371037864719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21605329.post-28425348727276067042013-02-11T09:39:53.463-08:002013-02-11T09:39:53.463-08:00Kaitlyn S.
