The television viewing public needs to see many solid hours of athletic female bodies to compensate for the years of rail-thin women with breast implants that viewers have seen during their lifetime of TV watching.HumanProjecthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03579380219478093167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21605329.post-47950525386290856422008-08-18T17:16:00.000-07:002008-08-18T17:16:00.000-07:00...what?...what?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21605329.post-5561158136579684682008-08-17T20:09:00.000-07:002008-08-17T20:09:00.000-07:00Sigh. So this year, NBC has also invested significant amount of time on the Dara Torres story from the angle of how completely amazing is is that in a field as ludicrously competitive as Olympic swimming, somebody in her 40s could win multiple medals. That said, I do wonder whether the story would have gotten as much attention if Torres had not previously had a history of somewhat more cheese-cakey coverage.

Of course, I think cheese/beef cake is certainly in the mind of the beholder. I doubt that women's field hockey would have made anybody's list of most titillating sports, but I have to admit there was probably something going on more than stick-handling skills that made me watch the better part of the USA-Argentina field hockey match when it was on one morning last week.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
